Thought Experiment: Schrödinger’s Cat
This is my second project for the science-blog Timaios.org (check out our previous collaboration here), a wonderful corner of the internet filled with educational articles on all things science and physics. In his articles, physicist Johannes Horak explains complex and thought-provoking topics in a way that is comprehensible and entertaining.
For this article (German/Deutsch only) he tackled Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger‘s now famous thought-experiment: Schrödinger’s Cat.
My illustration for this educational blog-entry on quantum physics is not a technical or accurate depiction of Schrödinger’s theory but rather an interpretation and a concoction of actual facts and how the experiment is perceived in popular culture. Mix in some steam punk, animation and a generous dose of artistic license and the result is a humorous representation of Schrödinger’s Cat.
